CLE Enrichment Series
CLE provides opportunities outside of the classroom for enrolled students to develop the self-advocacy, social skills and independent living skills necessary to live on their own. Travel with CLE staff on these unique excursions and volunteer experiences provides opportunities for generalization of skills learned at CLE, a chance to meet peers across our 5 sites, and vocational development.
Last year CLE students participated in a travel abroad experience on a Caribbean cruise. As part of our CLE Serves series students also gained valuable work experience at the
North Cascades National Park in Washington and with
Habitat for Humanity in Charleston, South Carolina.
We are excited to continue these travel abroad experiences and service learning trips during the 2010-2011 academic year. Students will traveling during to
Costa Rica and participating next spring and summer in the CLE Serves projects at the
North Cascades National Park and with
Habitat for Humanity.
