Summer Opportunities
CLE offers two summer programs for students with special needs at varying levels and abilities including those who are pursuing enrollment at CLE or another post-secondary educational setting. Students receive an extensive introduction to life post-graduation while engaging with peers of similar abilities.
Through the summer programs, students receive intensive coaching and support to help ease the transition to independent living and academic success
CLE Summer Program
The CLE Summer Program for students with special needs offers high school seniors and graduates a fun-filled experience with peers over the course of three weeks. The program balances academic activities with recreation; provides opportunities for students to enjoy all that Denver has to offer; and builds academic, social and independent living skills. Participation in CLE is not required to enroll in the CLE Summer Program.
College Preparatory Institute (CPI)
CPI is for students preparing to attend a higher education institution of their choice and could benefit from an intensive, two week, introduction to college . During the two-week program, high school graduates take courses to help them understand the academic expectations and culture of a college campus. CPI provides a structured and supportive environment and prepares students for a successful transition to any institution of higher learning.
The 2010 CPI will be hosted at the University of Oregon in Eugene, Or, and the University of Denver in Denver, Co..
